Al-Madinah Rehabilitation Hospital
The architectural design takes full advantage of the site's natural sloping elevation, strategically positioning hospital entrances, functional areas, and landscaped spaces across two different levels. This approach enhances accessibility and connectivity while integrating the hospital with its surrounding environment. Both levels are directly linked to main roads on opposite sides of the plot, facilitating smooth circulation for patients, staff, and visitors.
A defining feature of the hospital’s façade is its dynamic use of extruded slab edges and rotating louvres. These elements work together to filter natural sunlight, reducing glare while allowing soft, diffused light to illuminate the interior spaces. This design not only enhances the patient experience but also contributes to energy efficiency and overall well-being.
