As part of the partial renovation of Nasser Institute, the medical library was redesigned in 2023 to serve as a modern hub for learning and research. The renovation introduced a seamless integration of both physical and digital resources, providing a dynamic space that meets the evolving needs of medical professionals and students. Additionally, a dedicated entrance was incorporated to enhance accessibility and streamline circulation within the institute.

A key focus of the redesign was to create an open and breathable environment. This was achieved by fully utilizing the double-height ceilings and expanding window openings to maximize natural light and take advantage of the hospital’s prime location overlooking the Nile. The result is a bright and spacious setting that enhances focus and encourages a productive learning atmosphere.

The library’s interior design embraces a calming and refined aesthetic. A neutral color palette, complemented by natural wood finishes and a cool, relaxing accent color, was carefully selected to enhance the user experience. These elements work together to create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere for study, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
